Curiosity,
close to home.
Moss & Maps is a small independent notebook about walking, photography and noticing familiar places.
A practice of looking
You do not need a distant destination or an elaborate kit to make a useful observation. The journal gathers short exercises that work with a phone, a camera, a piece of paper and a little time.
What you will find here
The writing is practical: ways to organise a sequence of pictures, compare light or keep a record of a repeated walk. The collection includes original vector studies and AI-assisted landscape illustrations. Imagined scenes are labelled as illustrations. They are not photographs, navigational maps or accounts of particular trips. The walk formats are adaptable activities for familiar places, not directions to named destinations.
Use what helps
The field kit is free to download and adapt for personal, classroom or community use. Keep the attribution when you share an unmodified copy. Journal text and illustrations remain copyright Moss & Maps.
